Jessie Margaret Skidmore Harber

Of Calico Rock, Arkansas

Jessie Margaret Skidmore Harber, daughter of the late Jesse Skidmore and Mary Ann Lawrence Skidmore, was born March 17, 1939 in Kerley Point, Arkansas.  She departed this life August 19, 2023 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 84 years, 5 months and 2 days.  She was united in marriage to James Richard "Jim" Harber May 12, 1957 in Pineville, Arkansas and together they raised two daughters. Margaret spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. Early in her working years, she worked at Pineville Grocery, later she went to work at White River Nursing Home, where she worked as an aide and later moved on to office work.

Margaret is survived by two daughters:  Kathy Martin and husband Leon of Wild Cherry and Peggy Acklin and husband Terry of Norfork; one sister:  Carolyn Watson of Pineville; four grandchildren:  Richard Martin, Kristie Thompson, Casey Acklin and Cody Acklin; nine great grandchildren:  Clayton Thompson, Will Martin, Jamey Martin, Kavery Acklin, Whitley Acklin, Presley Acklin, Wyatt Acklin, Kolten Acklin and Jackson Acklin; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and one brother:  James Skidmore.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 22 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.  Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 23 at 10:00 a.m. at Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with Jana Cowgill officiating.  Burial will follow at Spring Creek Cemetery.
