Mamie Inez McDonald Wright

Of Sidney, Arkansas

Mamie Inez McDonald Wright, daughter of the late James Collins McDonald and Carrie Inez Hodges McDonald, was born February 1, 1954 in Brownfield, Texas.  She departed this life September 26, 2025 at her home in Sidney, Arkansas at the age of 71.  Mamie spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend.  Her working years were spent as a Licensed Practical Nurse and she was very passionate about caring for the elderly.   She was united in marriage to Don Wright February 8, 2006 in Melbourne.  She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of nineteen years:  Don Wright of the home; one son:  Clinton Lake Burden (Roxanna) of McRae; two daughters:  Shawna Lynn McDonald of Brownfield, Texas, Melissa Ann Hensley of Mountain Home; four stepchildren:  Donald Joseph Wright (Elizabeth) of Saginaw, Texas, Rebecca Duckett (Brad) of Mount Pleasant, Deborah Rochelle Hendrix (James) of Searcy, Melanie Renee Wright of Orlando, Florida; two sisters:  Mona Lusk (Alan) of Bay Minette, Alabama, Pam Schultz (John)of Macclenny, Florida; eight grandchildren:  Bridgett Hardaway, Brandon Hardaway, Mikayla  (Chris) Fawley, Caleb (Crystal) Burden, Trysten Birmingham (Brandi),  Hannah Russell, Kaelii Verser, Kayden Verser; eight step grandchildren:  Gabriel Morris Wright, Elizabeth Wright, Brady, Brice, Brentley, Braxton Duckett, Joshua Hendrix, Cara and Luke; nine great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother:  Jimmy McDonald; two stepsisters: Eloise Cecka, Annie Stark; two stepbrothers:  James McDonald, John McDonald.

Memorial service will be Friday, October 3 at 10:00 a.m. at Fairview Baptist Church with Randy Bailey officiating.
