Lucille Crotts Porterfield

Of Calico Rock, Arkansas

Lucille Crotts Porterfield, daughter of the late Lester Crotts and Marie Roberts Crotts, was born September 22, 1937 in Elizabeth, Arkansas.  She departed this life January 18, 2024 at her home in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 86 years, 3 months and 27 days.  She was united in marriage to James William Porterfield January 17, 1954 in Salem, Arkansas and together they raised two children.  Lucille spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and friend. During her working years she worked at the Glove Factory and Hays Brothers Flooring in Calico Rock.  She was of the of the Assembly of God faith and a member of Galatia Assembly of God Church.

Lucille is survived by one son:  Bill Porterfield and wife Denise of Pineville; one daughter:  Jackie Porterfield of Calico Rock; one grandson:  Travis Ray Stynes of Holden Maine and a host of other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and four brothers:  Austin Crotts, Virgil Crotts, Carl Crotts and Orville Crotts.

Visitation and funeral service will be Thursday, January 25 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m.   Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Joey Bryant officiating.  Burial will follow at Wild Cherry Cemetery.

Pallbearers:  Duncan McGowen, Donnie Perry, Travis Styner, Leland Nave, Steve Neal and Bruce Klinkingbeard.
