Lorenda Gaye Arnold

Of Melbourne, Arkansas

Lorenda Gaye Arnold, daughter of the late Thomas Jackson Hellums and Jeffie Thompson Hellums, was born February 5, 1962 in Batesville, Arkansas.  She departed this life July 12, 2023 in Batesville, Arkansas at the age of 61 years, 5 months and 7 days.  Gaye spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. After graduating high school, Gaye worked at Boeing Aircraft in Melbourne.  She went on to attend Ozarka College and graduate with an Associate's Degree in Health Information Management. She was of the Christian faith.

Gaye is survived by her companion of twenty-five years:  Danny Franks of the home; two daughters:  Jessica Goines and husband Chris of Violet Hill and Samantha Tate of Melbourne; one sister:  Kay Rush of Newport; four grandchildren:  Kiersten Hartgraves, Sarah Hartgraves, Dalton Tate and Maycee Tate; one great grandson:  Nolan Rush and a host of other relative and many good friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother:  Lyndell Hellums and her beloved dog Shelby.

Visitation and funeral service will be Saturday, July 15 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m.  Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m.
