Loma Ann Plumlee

Franklin, Arkansas

Loma Ann Plumlee, daughter of the late Clarence Joel Plumlee and Telitha Ella Hall Plumlee, was born November 13, 1936 in Franklin, Arkansas.  She departed this life April 9, 2025 in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 88 years, 4 months and 20 days. After graduating high school, Loma attended Ouachita Baptist University where she earned a teaching degree in Elementary Education.  She taught in several elementary schools in the area, including Mammoth Spring, Izard County Consolidated, Violet Hill, and Mount Pleasant.  Loma was an active member of Extension Homemakers Club, Delta Kappa Gamma, and Retired Teachers.  She enjoyed getting together with her quilting club.  Loma was of the Baptist faith and served as Treasurer for many years.

She is survived by three nieces:  Anna Plumlee (Tom) of Bentonville and their children: Telitha and Eleanor, Sarah Lesley (Nick) of Myron and their children: Matthew (Haley), Katie Tate (Chris) of Violet Hill and their children: Bobby and Zena; her sister-in-law:  Kaye Plumlee of Franklin and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister:  Wilma Plumlee and one brother:  Ray Plumlee.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 10 from 6-8 p.m.at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.  Funeral service will be Friday, April 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Howard Memorial Funeral Chapel in Melbourne with Doyne Robertson officiating.  Burial will follow at Violet Hill Cemetery.
