Linda Jean Owens Bell

Of Calico Rock, Arkansas

Linda Jean Owens Bell, daughter of the late Eugene Owens and Ruby Colleen Jennings Owens, was born May 26, 1949 in Mountain Home, Arkansas.  She departed this life February 6, 2021 at her home in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 71 years, 8 months and 11 days.  She was united in marriage to Keith Dywain Bell until his passing and together they raised two children.  Linda lived her life as a loving wife, mother, grandma, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.  After 18 years of employment at Baxter Labs, Linda left to pursue a career in nursing.  She worked several places but the majority of her career was spent at White River Healthcare and Calico Rock Medical Center.  It was in nursing that she found her greatest satisfaction.   Her numerous hobbies including cooking, sewing, crocheting, knitting and she most enjoyed making things for her loved ones.

Linda is survived by two children:  R. Dywain Bell of Fairfield, Texas and Jeana LeAnn Bell of Calico Rock; two brothers:  Jimmy Owens and wife Thelma and Johnny Owens and wife Lynne all of Calico Rock; one sister:  Loretta Ducker and husband Dennis of North Little Rock; five grandchildren:  Rhett Bell of Fairfield, Texas, Kaylin Tyler and husband Ridge of Corsicana, Texas and three additional granddaughters; three sisters-in-law:  Gloria Owens of Dolph, Arkansas, Patsy Combs of Wichita, Kansas and Carolyn Dillard of West Plains, Missouri; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters:  Brenda Haney and Roselle Stanley, and two brothers:  Joseph Owens and Jerry Owens.

Visitation and funeral service will be Monday, February 8 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m.   Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers:  Rhett Bell, Jimmy Owens, Dennis Ducker, Gregory Ducker, Clarke Sherrod, Brady Loretz.

Honorary Pallbearers:  Archie Lively, Floyd Blankenship and Johnny Owens.
