Lewis Wayne Dillard
of Imboden, Arkansas
Lewis Wayne Dillard, son of the late Osby Dillard and Frances Dorey Dillard, was born July 30, 1954. He departed this life March 31, 2019 in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 64 years, 8 months and 1 day. Lewis was a one-of-a-kind father, grandfather like no other, loving son and loyal cousin, brother and friend. He spent the better part of his life turning wood, tile and paint into something beautiful. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1973 to 1979. He was of the Church of Christ faith.
Lewis is survived by five children: Amy Brown and husband Douglas of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas Misty Wilson of Mount Dora, Florida, Lauren Pierce and husband Brett of Panama City, Florida, Sven Nessler of Killeen, Texas and Krystal Singleton of Acworth, Georgia; five grandchildren: Danielle Graham, Christopher Gray, Skyla Wilson, Jeremiah Griffin, Lilith Pierce; two special cousins: Steve Dillard of Black Rock and Roger Dillard of Kansas City, Missouri; brother-in-law: Howard Blankenship of Bandmill; close friend: Ricky Sherrill; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Linda Sue Campbell, Janice Ann Dillard Blankenship; two brothers: Danny Joe Dillard, Ronald Gene Dillard.
Visitation and funeral service will be Saturday, April 6 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock with Leon Morehead officiating. Visitation begins at 1:00 p.m. Funeral service begins at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Pineville Cemetery with military honors.
Pallbearers: Ricky Sherrill, Steve Dillard, Roger Dillard, Jody Clinkingbeard, Danny Blankenship, Colten Clinkingbeard, Christopher Gray.
Honorary Pallbearers: John Dillard, Neal Campbell, Howard Blankenship, Doug Brown, Brett Pierce.
