Leon Loggains

Of Larkin, Arkansas

Leon Loggains son of the late Steven Don Loggains and Audie Rosetta Arnold Loggains, was born November 13, 1928 in Lunenburg, Arkansas. He departed this life April 5, 2020 at his home in Violet Hill, Arkansas at the age of 91 years, 4 months and 23 days. Leon served two years in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Hartence Ortez Edwards June 25, 1957 and to this union four children were born. Leon spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. Most of his working years were spent employed by Missouri-Pacific Railroad and Boeing Aircraft. He was also a carpenter, dozier operator and farmer.

Leon is survived by his wife of 62 years: Ortez Loggains of the home; one daughter and son-in-law: Janelle and Danny Taylor of Melbourne; two sons: Jason Loggains and wife Darie of Melbourne and Brian Loggains of Violet Hill; one brother: Earl Loggains of Coppas Clove, Texas; eight grandchildren: David Taylor, Greg Taylor, Megan Cazzell (Joe), Tiffany Rounds (Shannon), Mami Sullins (T. J.), Susan Abernathy, Kirby Hurtt (Rusty), Kelsi Bray (Nic); numerous great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: William Loggains, and Eldon "Bony" Loggains; one sister: Ina Sims and one daughter: Katie Loggains.

Graveside funeral service will be held at Reeves Cemetery with Gerald Coleman officiating under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.

A public memorial service will be held at a later date.
