LaVerne Renfro Hiner

Of Calico Rock, Arkansas

LaVerne Renfro Hiner, daughter of the late Loval Davis Renfro and Willie Opal Fisher Renfro, was born May 11, 1936 in Harrah Oklahoma.  She departed this life February 23 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 85 years, 9 months and 22 days.  She was united in marriage to Frederick L Hiner.  LaVerne spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, homemaker and friend.  Most of her working years were spent in food service as a dining room manager, retiring after 38 years.  She was of the Baptist faith and a member of First Baptist Church in Calico Rock.

LaVerne is survived by five children:  Scot (Rhonda) Lane of Bonney Lake Washington, Brenda (David) Bonner of Fairfield, Texas, Leslie (Linda) Lane of Henderson, Texas, Lonnie (Claudia) Lane of Calico Rock and Reba (Ronnie) White of Huntsville, Texas; one sister:  Mardell (Wayne) Norton of Bakersfield, California; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother:  Loval Davis Renfro, two sisters:  LaVella Kay Renfro and Iva Jo Sparks.

Visitation and graveside funeral service will be Monday, February 28.  Visitation will be at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.   Graveside funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. at Kirby Tucker Memorial Cemetery, 914 Tucker Cemetery Road, Gassville, Arkansas.
