Kenneth Eugene Haney
of Violet Hill, Arkansas
Kenneth Eugene Haney, son of the late Russell Eugene Haney and Opal Violet Phipps Haney Dale, was born January 25, 1934 in Larkin, Arkansas. He departed this life June 22, 2018 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 84 years, 4 months and 28 days. He was united in marriage to Kathryn Janett Jones February 7, 1959 in Fresno, California and to this union two sons were born. He proudly served in the United States Army. Kenneth spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. Most of his working years were spent in Washington managing fruit orchards. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Wises Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years: Janett Haney of the home; two sons: Michael Haney and wife Robin of Violet Hill and Anthony Haney of Seattle, Washington; one sister: Ramona Cowell of Salem; two grandsons: Steven Haney and wife Danielle and Kenny Haney; two great grandchildren: Tobias Haney and Declan Haney; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister: Madge Cooper and one infant sibling.
Visitation will be Monday, June 25, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 26 at 10:00 a.m. at Howard Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mike Haney, Kenny Haney and Steven Haney officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Violet Hill Cemetery.
