Kenda Sue Levett

of Violet Hill, Arkansas

Kenda Sue Levett, daughter of the late Carl Riggs Henthorn and Phyllis Arthene Batchelder Henthorn, was born August 30, 1954 in Allegan, Michigan.  She departed this life December 18, 2025 in Violet Hill, Arkansas at the age of 71.  Kenda was united in marriage to Richard Leo Levett and together they raised their family and worked in the Allegan area.  After Richard retired, they moved to Violet Hill, Arkansas.  Kenda spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend.  Kenda worked over forty years in Culinary Arts and Food Service Industry, retiring from Ozarka College in 2020.  Kenda loved cooking and talking about cooking with everyone, she enjoyed working in her flower gardens and loved caring for her farm animals.  She was a member of Foothills Cowboy Church in Batesville.

Kenda is survived by her children: Tom Wright and wife Emily of Hamburg, Carrie Hillman and husband Jason of Hamburg; stepchildren:  Lisa Wedge and husband Doug of Detroit, Michigan, David Levett and wife Julie of Allegan, Michigan; two brothers:  Garth Henthorn and wife Jody and Drew Henthorn and wife Lisa all of Allegan, Michigan; two sisters: Kyla Boss of Grandville, Michigan, Keena Davis of Travers City, Michigan; grandchildren:  Justin Levett, Meghan Smit, Lindsey Hattan, Jake Wedge, Erin Hillman, Anna Hillman and Payden Wright; twelve great grandchildren; cherished friends of the family:  Lance and Jessica Gross and children:  Landon, Keylon and Justis of Violet Hill;  numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 40 years, who died with her, Richard Leo Levett of Violet Hill.

Visitation and memorial service will be held Sunday, January 11 at Belview Baptist Church in Melbourne.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m.  Memorial service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Logan Holliday and Glen McKay officiating.

A second memorial service will be held March 21, 2026 from 2-4 p.m.at the Allegan Eagles Club 2315, 110 Chestnut St, Allegan Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to:  Foothills Cowboy Church Arena Fund, 595 Hilly Village Road, Batesville, Arkansas 72501.
