Kelly Vonita Sweat Rush

Of Calico Rock, Arkansas

Kelly Vonita Sweat Rush, daughter of the late Orville Sweat and Ima Lee Teague Sweat, was born April 27, 1961 in Calico Rock, Arkansas.  She departed this life August 9, 2024 at her home in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 63 years, 3 months and 13 days.  Kelly was a lifelong resident of Calico Rock and was a 1979 graduate of Calico Rock High School. She was united in marriage to Jerry "Bo" Rush in 1979 and together they raised one son.  Kelly spent her life as a loving daughter, cousin, wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and friend.  During Kelly's working years she had several careers.  She was a substitute teacher, a Boilermaker and material coordinator.  She also worked at Izard County Community Medical Center as Ward Secretary and in Housekeeping.  She was of the Baptist faith.

Kelly is survived by her husband of 44 years:  Jerry Rush of the home; one son:  Adam Rush of Calico Rock; three granddaughters:  Faith Rush, Annie Rush and Lillie Rush; her cousin:  Gary Teague and wife Jan of Melbourne and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation and funeral service will be Monday, August 12 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.   Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Wade Moser officiating.  Burial will follow at Table Rock Cemetery.

Pallbearers:  Aaron Teague, Nick Rush, Chris Coleman, Mack Coleman, Jason Miller, Ryan Rush.

Honorary Pallbearers:  Elijah Rush and Danny Rush.
