Katherine June Vance Johnson

Of Zion, Arkansas

Katherine June Vance Johnson, daughter of the late Olin Jesse Vance and Josie M. Vance, was born March 29, 1941 in Monette, Arkansas.  She departed this life April 24, 2021 near Jacksonville, Texas at the age of 80 years and 26 days.  She was united in marriage to Bobby Gene Johnson December 17, 1975 in Lodi, Missouri and together they raised seven children.  June spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, homemaker and friend.  She was extremely talented in floral design. Locally, she worked at Four Seasons Florist for many years.  She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant.

June is survived by four sons:  Robert Johnson (Letha) of Bakersfield, Missouri, Jake Johnson (Loribeth Walker) of Zion, John William Johnson (Kim) of Fayetteville, Ray Johnson (Becky Raines) of Zion; three daughters:  Terri Cole (Dan) of Franklin, Linda Smith of Corpus Christi, Texas, Carolyn Davis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a total of twenty-five grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one great grandson:  Chris Cole.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 29 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.  Graveside funeral service will be Friday, April 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Caney Springs Cemetery with John Higgins officiating.
