Jacquelyn Karen Hiles Jones, daughter of the late Carroll Hiles and Mildred Fanning Hiles, was born May 24, 1950 in Shenandoah, Iowa. She departed this life August 19, 2022 in Springdale, Arkansas at the age of 72 years, 2 months and 26 days. In 1969 she was united in marriage to Charles Jones and together they raised three children. Karen spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. Karen attended Ozarka College and earned an Associates Degree in Accounting. She was employed at Guy King and Sons Trucking as an accountant, retiring after twenty years of employment. She went on to operate her own tax service. She was of the Assembly of God faith and a member of New Life Assembly of God Church in Calico Rock, where she served as treasurer for many years.
Karen is survived by her husband of 53years: Charles Jones of the home; two sons: Chuck Jones of Calico Rock and Kevin Jones of Salem; one daughter: Lisa May and her longtime companion: Paul Totty of Springdale; one brother: Dennis (Mary) Hiles of Brockwell; four sisters: Kathy Cooper of Gassville, Cleta (Mike) Beck of Yellville, Kay (Curtis) Boston of Lebanon, Missouri and Bobie Jean (Gary) Smith of Lebanon, Missouri; seven grandchildren: Racheal (Aaron) Price, Laken Jones, Dakota Sandoval, Reagan (Brian) Stowe, Jake (Tierney) Brous, Kaila Sandoval and Dustin Sandoval; eight great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter: Peyton Jones.
Visitation will be Monday, August 22 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Funeral service will be Tuesday, August 23 at 2:00 p.m. with Harry Hunter officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
