Junior Ray Fisher

Of Zion, Arkansas

Junior Ray Fisher, son of the late Cleo Adam Fisher, and Esther Stokes Fisher, was born April 11, 1954 in Bethesda, Arkansas. He departed this life December 19, 2020 at his home in Zion, Arkansas at the age of 66 years, 8 months and 8 days. He was united in marriage to Irma Whitten. Junior spent his life as a loving son, brother, nephew, husband, uncle, provider and friend. After graduating from Mount Pleasant High School, Junior went to work for Unimin Corporation in Guion. He retired after 47 years of employment. He was a skilled woodworker and enjoyed wood working, hunting and gun collecting. He was an active member of Wises Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, serving as a deacon for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years: Irma Lou Fisher of the home; one sister: Reba Tate and husband Greg of Guion; nephew: Andy Tate (Tori) of Melbourne; great nephew: Preston Tate; Niece Amanda Tate of Melbourne; great niece: Destiny Tate and great great niece : Lilly of Louisiana; sister-in-law: Betty Whitten Dale (Coy) of Sage; nephew: Jerry Dale (KimWebb) of Mount Pleasant; great niece: Kelsey Dale; great niece and nephew: Kenley "Dobber" Dale of Mount Pleasant; nephew: Gary Dale (Shelly Fulbright-Dale) of Mount Pleasant; Great niece: Charlie Burns (John Burns); great great nephew: Kash Burns; great nephew: Kirby Dale; brother-in-law: Doyle Whitten (Barbara) of Evening Shade; niece: Rebecca Whitten (C.J. Wolfe) of Zion; great nieces Elizabeth Bruyette and Clara Jane Wolfe and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother.

Visitation and funeral service will be Tuesday, December 22 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m.   Funeral service with Mike Haney officiating. Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Jerry Dale, Gary Dale, Van Johnson, Tommy Weatherford, Andy Tate and Alan Vickery.

Honorary Pallbearers: Doyle Whitten, C. J. Wolfe, David Wallis, Daniel Ward, Jerry Arnold.
