Obituary

Juanita Todd Upton, 88. of Guion died on October 30, 2020 in Batesville Arkansas.  There will be a celebration of life service sometime in the future after the pandemic.
Juanita was born on January 1, 1932 in Melbourne, Arkansas to Owen Todd and Laura Beatrice McDonald Todd.
She was preceded in death by her husband Shelby Upton, two brothers, Truman Todd and Fred Todd and a sister Pauline Stewart. She is survived by her daughter, Shelia Jan Stobaugh (Bob) of Little Rock and her son Michael Todd Upton (Latoya) of Guion and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Juanita had a deep love for her family and had a strong ability to care for each person.  She loved her Bible, not just because it was the word of God, but because it had notes she had written about each family member and events that had happened in her community. She was a member of the Guion Pins and needles sewing circle. She was a social butterfly in her later years at Woodlawn, zipping around in her jazzy chair that she humorously nicknamed "her Mercedes".  She loved listening to Christmas music year round and made the most delicious waffles each Christmas morning.  She had an enthusiasm for country music and loved the Grand Ole Opry.  She had collected every country album of the year since the Country Music Awards began.  Her love for life and family ran deep and she was many things to many people.  A follower of Christ, she left a legacy of kindness instilled on many people.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Guion United Methodist Church, Guion AR 72540
