Joyce Nadine Conrad Newbrey
Of Melbourne, Arkansas
Joyce Nadine Conrad Newbrey, daughter of the late Dewey Conrad and Annie Sinden Conrad, was born February 5, 1942 in Calico Rock, Arkansas. She departed this life May 30, 2022 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 80 years, 3 months and 25 days. In 1989 she was united in marriage to Steven Newbrey. She attended Ozarka College in Melbourne and earned an Associate Degree in Nursing. She spent many years working as an LPN at Dr. Milam's Clinic in Melbourne and at Izard County Community Medical Center Clinic. Joyce spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. She was of the Church of Christ faith and a member of Melbourne Church of Christ.
Joyce is survived by four daughters: Tammie Vest and husband Donald of Rockledge, Florida, Teresa Hillsman and husband Jim of Ft. Myers, Florida, Kathy Quenzer and husband Kaleo of Seattle, Washington and Amanda Hickman and husband Michael of Viola; one sister: Mildred Davis and husband Gary of Fayetteville; ten grandchildren: Teresa (Ricky) Leib, Bill Hillsman, Laura (Zaki) Ahmed, Michelle (George Sanders) Hillsman, Emily (Dylan) Biard, Taylor (Matt Taylor) Stills, Wyatt Hickman, Lincoln Hickman, Rhett Hickman, Maile Quenzer; two great grandchildren: Haley and Sadie Leib and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers: Toley Hart, J. D. Conrad, and Ralph Conrad and two sisters: Wanda Bozarth and Erma Mickle.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 1 from 6- 8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Funeral service will be Thursday, June 2 at 2:00 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Burial will be at Jones Cemetery in Boswell, Arkansas.
