Joyce Kathleen Herron Billingsley

of Franklin, Arkansas

Joyce Kathleen Herron Billingsley, daughter of the late Shelby and Margie Wells Herron, was born July 18, 1929 in Evening Shade, Arkansas. She departed this life November 10, 2019 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 90 years, 3 months and 23 days. She was united n marriage to Aubrey Billingsley December 22, 1947 in Myron, Arkansas and together they raised three children. Joyce spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. Joyce retired from McDonnell Douglas Aircraft after many years of employment. She greatly treasured her memories of those years, as well as her many friends and co-workers. Joyce was of the Baptist faith and a member of Franklin Baptist Church.

She is survived by three children: Brenda Kelley (Jerry) of Paragould, Kirby Billingsley (Oleta) of Franklin, Kendra Smith (Larry) of Franklin; two siblings: Joe Herron (Kathy) of Wentachee, Washington, Helen Hunt (Glen) of Melbourne; eight grandchildren: Jason Kelley (Sandra) of Paragould, Charity Brannen (Shaun) of Lakeland, Tennessee, Alex Billingsley of Franklin, Hannah Mooney (Shay) of Nashville, Tennessee, Casondra Smith of Franklin, Charlene Smith of Franklin, Lucas Smith of Little Rock, Katrina Smith of Franklin; five great grandchildren:Rachelle Kelley (Shannon) Horton of Jonesboro Aiden Kelley of Paragould, Gabriel Brannen of Lakeland, Tennessee, Asher Mooney of Nashville, Tennessee and his little brother expected in February and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers: Ralph Herron, Wilbur Herron, Johnny Van Herron.

Visitation and funeral service will be Thursday, November 14 at Franklin Baptist Church. Visitation begins at 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Jeff McAnally and Jeff Hawkins officiating. Burial will be at Roberts Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
