Josephine Durham Lemly

Of Melbourne, Arkansas

Josephine Durham Lemly, daughter of the late Bedford Parker Durham and Goldie Radford Durham, was born February 20, 1935 in Dardnelle, Arkansas.  She departed this life March 21, 2024 in Batesville, Arkansas at the age of 89 years, 1 month and 1 day.  Josephine spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and friend.  During her working years she had many jobs, Truck driver, actress, model, antique store owner, and factory worker.

Josephine is survived by her children:  Patria and Ferrell Gene; two sisters:  Martha Peters and husband Bob of Melbourne and Joyce Waterman of Clarksville; several grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; eight siblings:  Roy Durham, David Durham, Joseph Durham, Sam Durham, Mary Lingle, Virginia Goggins, Gene Allen Durham, Bedford Junior Durham; and one daughter:  Hazel

Graveside funeral service will be Tuesday, March 26 at 10:00 a.m. at Lone Star Cemetery in Melbourne with Donald Gillihan officiating under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
