Joseph Kruis

of Melbourne, Arkansas

Joseph Kruis of Melbourne passed away on July 12, 2024. He was born in the Netherlands, in
the town of Sneek. His Dutch name was Jouke, but he went by "Joe" when he immigrated to
America in 1956. He proudly served in the United States Navy for 3 years.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; Richard and Jacoba (Feenstra), and brothers;
Richard and Sam.
He is survived by his loving husband of 30 years; Roger Paulson, his brothers; John (Grayce)
Kruis and Peter (Marylin) Kruis, his sister-in-law; Loretta Kruis, and his children; Tracy Kruis,
Joseph (Kerri) Kruis, and Patrick (Megan) Kruis. Joe is also survived by many grand & great
grandchildren, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Joseph was retired but had a long and varied career in the medical field. He was an
experienced Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Radiology Technologist, and a Physician's
Assistance.
In his retirement, Joseph loved gardening, socializing, and caring for his pets. We will all miss
his charisma and wonderful stories. He lived a very blessed life and touched the hearts of
everyone that came along his path.
