Jonnie Janet McCormick Burrow
Of Salem, Arkansas
Jonnie Janet McCormick Burrow, daughter of the late Virgil McCormick and Della Perkins McCormick Burrow, was born October 9, 1942 in Salem, Arkansas. She departed this life June 23, 2021 in Salem, Arkansas at the age of 78 years, 8 months and 14 days. She was united in marriage to Jimmy Burrow June 18, 1958 in Manilla, Arkansas and together they raised three children. Jonnie spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. She was an excellent cook and went on to use those talents in owning and operating Jonnie's Catfish House in Pineville. She was of the Pentecostal faith and an active member of the Apostolic Church in Salem.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years: Jimmy Burrow of the home; two sons: Anthony Edward Burrow and wife Valerie of West Plains, Missouri and David Burrow of Guion; one daughter: Mary Sexton (Troy) of Calico Rock; three brothers: Ervin McCormick (Janette) of Manilla, Elroy McCormick (Bertha) of Manilla and Jerry McCormick (Kimmy) of Somerville, Alabama; one sister: Margie Detergent of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Mamie Miller and Mary Lee Casey and one brother: Junior McCormick.
Visitation and funeral service will be Saturday, June 26 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at State Line Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Dave Burrow, Aaron Burrow, Austin Burrow, Chance Sexton, Tony Burrow and Jake Garner.
