JoAnn Balch Pelletier
Of Melbourne, Arkansas

JoAnn Balch Pelletier, daughter of the late Jacob Balch and Geneva McSpadden Balch, was born May 22, 1941 in Dyess, Arkansas. She was healed June 18, 2020 in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 79 years and 27 days. She was united in marriage to Ronald Pelletier. JoAnn spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and friend. Her close friends referred to her as Jomammy. She loved to cook and could make the best peanut brittle ever. She loved reading and playing games on her Ipad. JoAnn also enjoyed singing in church. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant. She spoke often to her children and grandchildren about the importance of God and keeping him first in their lives. She always looked forward to spending time with her family. There were annual trips that she would go on with her siblings, a yearly Balch Reunion that she never missed and every Thanksgiving weekend she and her daughters would hit ALL the black Friday deals in Branson. JoAnn was also very crafty. She made porcelain dolls to give to her grandchildren. She was a very special lady and will be missed dearly.

JoAnn is survived by her husband: Ronald Pelletier of the home; four daughters, one stepson and one stepdaughter: Tammy Henard (Raymond) of Dyess, Arkansas, Michelle Schmidt (Steve) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Shawn Tuck (Darrin) of Harrison, Arkansas, Kyra Langley (Jared) of Piggott, Arkansas, Jeff Pelletier of St. Charles, Illinois, and Anne Pelletier of Springfield, Virginia; seven grandchildren and two step grandchildren: Adam Henard, Ashleigh Goff, Andrea Brown, Blake Schmidt, Sydney Long, Isaac and Emma Langley, Ashley Woolard and Jacob Pelletier; eight great grandchildren: Scarlett Henard, Keagan Goff, Sadie, SeraKate, Silas Brown, Eden, Scarlett, Eleanor Woolard; three sisters: Mary Price of Winchester, Virginia, Wanda Sneathern of Mount Pleasant, Arkansas and Linda Crowe of Marion, Arkansas and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: Harrell, Travis, Curtis and Steve Balch and two sisters: Faye Eanes and Peggy Turner.

Visitation and funeral service will be Monday, June 22 at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. to be followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Elvis Sneathern, John Higgins officiating. Burial will be at Barren Fork Cemetery in Mount Pleasant under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
