Joan Morris Miller

Of Calico Rock, Arkansas

Joan Morris Miller, daughter of the late Ralph Morris and Ada Roberts Morris, was born July 6, 1933 in Robinsons, New Foundland.  She departed this life December 2, 2022 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 89 years, 4 months and 26 days. Joan was united in marriage to Lowell Thomas Miller June 21, 1956 in Robinsons New Foundland and together they raised two children.  Joan spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend.  She spent most of her working years as a caregiver.  After moving to Calico Rock, she was employed by White River Healthcare.  She was of the Baptist faith.

Joan is survived by her husband of 66 years:  Lowell Miller of the home; one son:  Michael T. Miller and wife Heidi of Jonesboro; one daughter:  Catherine Wray and husband James of Calico Rock; two brothers: Kevin Morris and wife Janet of St. Davis, NF and Joe Morris and wife Sylvia of Robinsons, NF; one sister:  Maxine Meade of Stephenville, NF, five grandchildren:  Jessica (Justin) Teague, Dusty (Randi) Wray, Blake (Justine) Miller, Kandis (Dalton) McIllwain,, Logan Stewart; ten great grandchildren:  Arysta Teague, Brettley Teague, Logan Norton, Jayden Wray, Charlotte Wray, Ezra Wray, Blythe Miller, Lynlee Miller, Krew McIllwain, Kross McIllwain and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers:  Sidney Morris, Milton Morris, William Morris; three sisters:  Mable Morris, Beula Schaffery, Phyllis Lush and one great grandson:  Barrett Michael Miller.

Graveside funeral service will be Wednesday, December 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock with Kevin Bishop officiating.
