Joan Elizabeth Jarvis Mabry

Of Melbourne, Arkansas

Joan Elizabeth Jarvis Mabry, daughter of the late Ruby Jarvis and Marie Robertson Jarvis, was born January 22, 1928 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.  She departed this life June 23, 2022 in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 94 years, 5 months and 1 day.  Joan spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend.  Most of her working years were spent as the librarian at the Melbourne Library. She spent 11 years as a cook aboard a Mississippi River Boat.

Joan is survived by five children:  John Thomas Mabry and wife Anita Sue of Jacksonville, Florida, Sandahl Mabry and wife Nancy of Elkins, Arkansas, Sherry Broderson and husband Nay of Southside, Arkansas, Patrick Colin Mabry of Salesville, Arkansas and Robbie Mabry and wife Joyce of Melbourne; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother:  Lee Jarvis and one sister:  Geraldine Clark.

No memorial service is planned at this time.  Her ashes will be buried at Reeves Cemetery.
