Jimmy Dale Stapleton, Sr., born to Otto and Opal Foster Stapleton on February 17, 1946, in Calico Rock, Arkansas, passed away on January 7, 2026 in Calico Rock, Arkansas.

Jim left school after the eighth grade to begin working as a truck driver. At age 18, he moved to Little Rock hauling gravel before returning home to Calico Rock in 1979. He spent many years driving cross-country for McNeill Trucking and later hauled logs locally until his retirement from the cab of his truck in 2014. Those who knew Jim knew him as a man who wasn't afraid of hard work

He was proceeded in death by his father, mother, infant brother —, wife: Judy Foshee Stapleton and a stepson: James "Tadpole" Holt.

Jim is survived by his children: Anita Walde of Glencoe, Jimmy Wayne Stapleton (Chalene) of Wideman, Jimmy Dale Stapleton, Jr. (Jandel) of Wideman, Jamie Stapleton of Calico Rock, a granddaughter that he raised like a daughter:  Danielle Stapleton of Melbourne; bonus children:  Justin Parker of Vilonia, Allyce Parker (Jeremy) of Elkins, Kay Burns of Mountain Home, Robby Holt of Calico Rock, Wayne Beard, Jr. of Pineville, Angel Duncan (Ricky) of Pineville, Daniel Coy of Pineville, Mason Sons of Calico; Maricia White, former wife, Danielle Stapleton, Mason Sons who helped provide care for Jim in his final days. Jimmy is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren 2 great great grandchildren and a cousin who was more like a brother; Larry Stapleton.

Visitation and funeral service will be held at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.  Visitation will be Friday, January 9, from 6 8 p.m.   Funeral service will be Saturday, January 10 at 2:00 p.m. with Dennis Lamb officiating.   Burial will follow at Staggs Cemetery.
