Jimmy Wayne Burrow

Of Salem, Arkansas

Jimmy Wayne Burrow, son of the late Edward B. Burrow and Vera McWilliams Burrow, was born November 24, 1939 in Manilla, Arkansas.  He departed this life August 10, 2021 in Salem, Arkansas at the age of 81 years, 8 months and 17 days.  He was united in marriage to Jonnie McCormick June 18, 1958 in Manilla, Arkansas and together they raised three children.  Jimmy spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend.  Most of his working years were spent as a carpenter.  Later, he was called to preach.  He was a gracious man who was generous with his time, money and talents.  He was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of Jesus Name Apostolic Church in Salem.

He is survived by two sons:  Anthony Edward Burrow and wife Valerie of West Plains, Missouri and David Burrow of Guion; one daughter:  Mary Sexton of Calico Rock; two brothers:  Rudy Burrow and wife Lois of Leachville and Max Burrow of Paragould; three sisters:  Judy Polston of California, Coleen Shrable and Alberta Kirby of Manilla; eight grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 63 years:  Jonnie Burrow; two sisters:  Norma Jean Brown and Gaye Bass.

Visitation and funeral service will be held Friday, August 13 at Jesus Name Apostolic Church in Salem.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.  Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will be at State Line Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
