Jimmy Edward Burris

of Brockwell, Arkansas

Jimmy Edward Burris, son of the late Loyd and Violet Stapleton Burris, was born December 7, 1955 in Calico Rock, Arkansas. He departed this life May 16, 2018 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 62 years, 5 months and 8 days. Jimmy was a life long resident of Izard County. He was united in marriage to Sheryl Crider February 11, 1975 and to this union two daughters were born. Jimmy spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, provider and friend. During his working years, he was a supervisor at Conestoga Wood Company in Mountain View. He was of the Assembly of God faith.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years: Sheryl Burris of the home; two daughters: Dhiaa Potts and husband Greg of Brockwell and Dondee Hill and husband Kendrick of Brockwell; one "bonus son": Levi Burris of Heber Springs; two granddaughters: Trinity Goode and Aviana Potts both of Brockwell and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Terry Burris and Ernest Burris and one sister: Lola Bell.

Graveside funeral service will be Monday, May 21 at 2:00 p.m. at Owens Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.

Pallbearers: Marshall Morris, Jimmy Crider, Greg Potts, Tom Steer, Levi Burris, Ronnie McCoy and J. D. Crider.
