Jimmie Bell Fulbright

Of Mount Pleasant, Arkansas

Jimmie Bell Fulbright of Mount Pleasant, Arkansas passed away on February 19, 2025, in Mount Pleasant, Arkansas at the age of 86. He was born June 27, 1938, in Mount Pleasant, Arkansas to Lowen and Oma Fulbright.

He married his high school sweetheart, Melba June Moser, on June 27, 1959 and they were blessed with two daughters.

Shortly after graduating from Mount Pleasant High School, he went to work for Boeing in Wichita, Kansas. While working at Boeing, he traveled to many different places, returning to Arkansas in 1973 to fulfill his long-time desire to become a farmer, raising cattle and showing Quarter-Horses. After some time, he returned to Aerospace manufacturing at McDonnell Douglas/Boeing in Melbourne, Arkansas, where he worked until he retired in 2004.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, his daughter Susan Leonard, son-in-law Roger Leonard, his grandson Michael Leonard, his grandson and granddaughter-in-law Jacob and Beth Leonard, and his cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Sheryl Denise Fulbright, and his sister Mary Alice Short.

Private funeral services will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025 2:00 pm at Howard Chapel in Melbourne, Arkansas. He will be buried at Barren Fork Cemetery. Danny Brightwell will officiate the funeral service. Pallbearers include Michael Leonard, Jacob Leonard, Roger Leonard, Marty Fulbright, Jeff Elliott, and Ronnie Caraway. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Fulbright, Chris Moser, Todd Moser, Darin Adkisson, Wimp Winkle, and Kenneth Fulbright.
