Jewel Dean Cox

Of Culp, Arkansas

Jewel Dean Cox, son of the late Leonard Dean Cox and French L. Teague Cox, was born February 16, 1952 in Culp, Arkansas.  He departed this life December 22, 2022 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 70 years, 10 months and 6 days.  Dean spent his life as a loving son, brother, fiancé, father, grandfather, provider and friend. Most of his working years were spent going coast to coast as a truck driver.

He is survived by his fiancé:  Tonya Thompson of the home; five children:  Jewelia Wright and husband Daniel of Elkins, Frank Cox, James Cox both of Culp, Athena Cox and Draven Cox of Calico Rock; two brothers:  Leonard Cox of Culp and E. J. "Pee Wee" Cox and wife Michelle of Mountain Home; four grandchildren:  Rebecca Wright, Isaiah Wright, Nathaniel Lynch and Kerrina Grace Moore and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and someone who he considered a brother:  Brian Miller.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 29 from 5-7 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.  Graveside funeral service will be Friday, December 30 at 10:00 a.m. at Table Rock Cemetery with Wade Moser officiating.

Pallbearers:  Dannie Woods, Bob Cox, Danny Wright, Greg Hamby, Jason Acklin, Daniel Stephen.

Honorary Pallbearer:  Leonard Cox, Pee Wee Cox, Rodger Trivett, Michael Cox, Robert Cox and Rinney Crawford, Jr.
