Jerry Wayne Sneed
of Melbourne, Arkansas
Jerry Wayne Sneed, son of the late Thomas Sneed and Cleffie Griggs Sneed, was born March 2,1957 in Lepanto, Arkansas. He departed this life April 12, 2019 in Melbourne, Arkansas, surrounded by his dedicated, loving family at the age of 62 years, 1 month and 10 days. In 1996 he was united in marriage to Donna Jean Lee. Jerry spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. At the time of his death, he was employed ;by Peco Foods in Batesville. He enjoyed riding his Harley and was an avid NASCAR fan. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of New Bethel Freewill Baptist Church in Melbourne.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 22 years: Donna Jean Sneed of the home; two step children: Steven Jans (Lisa) of Melbourne, Iowa and Debra Jans of Waterloo, Iowa; two brothers: Danny Ray (Kim) of Monette and Len Sneed of Melbourne; two sisters: Phyllis Brooks (Sonny) of Melbourne and Peggy Sue Chandler (Bill) of Mount Pleasant; one half-brother: Jimmy Ragsdale (Gloria) of Sheldon, Washington; seven step grandchildren; ten step great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Neva Faye Decker.
Visitation will be Monday, April 15 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 16 at 10:00 a.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne with Vince Daniel and Wayne Wilson officiating. Burial will be at Reeves Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Tony Gill, Bradley Brooks, Brian Fulbright, Randall Lovelace, Chad Sneed and Tanner Hopps.
Honorary Pallbearers: Steve Sanford, Daniel Haney, Brayden Sanford, Dustin Heiskill, Eddie Fulbright.
