Jerry Dwayne Blankenship

Of Calico Rock, Arkansas

Jerry Dwayne Blankenship, son of the late Tom and Martha Winona Christian-Smith Blankenship, was born May 24, 1946 in Tupelo, Mississippi. He departed this life April 18, 2023 at his home in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 76 years, 10 months and 25 days. He was united in marriage to Earletta Stanley and together they raised two sons. Jerry proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He spent his life as a loving son, brother, father, uncle, husband, grandfather, hard working provider and loyal friend. Most of his working years were spent as a concrete contractor. He was of the Assembly of God faith.

Jerry is survived by his wife: Earletta Blankenship of the home; two sons: Michael Blankenship and wife Vanessa of Germantown, Tennessee and Tom Blankenship and wife Brooke of Ft. Worth, Texas; one brother: Charles Smith of Conway; four grandchildren: Hudson Blankenship, Miller Blankenship, Rylan Smith and Nola Blankenship; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son: Jeremiah Blankenship and two brothers: Thomas Abe Blankenship and Butch Blankenship.

Visitation will be Friday, April 21 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Graveside funeral service with military honors will be Saturday, April 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery in Calico Rock.

Pallbearers: Mitchell Stanley, Mark Hayes, Bobby Blankenship, Chris Blankenship, John Lemon Adyen Owens.

Honorary Pallbearers: Tim Jackson, Troy Conly Grant Hayes.
