Jeffa Joyce Pruitt Duggins
Of North Little Rock, Arkansas
Jeffa Joyce (Pruitt) Duggins, daughter of the late James David "Buck" Pruitt and Annie Mae (Hall) Pruitt, was born June 4, 1935 in Iuka, Arkansas. She departed this life February 2, 2025 in Little Rock, Arkansas at the age of 89 years. Not long after graduating from Norfork High School, Joyce was united in marriage to J. C. Duggins on May 22, 1954 and together they raised four children. Joyce spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend.
Joyce is survived by three children: John Duggins and wife, Nancy, of North Little Rock, Tammy Kallhoff and husband, Steve, of Tilden, Nebraska and Dave Duggins of Kansas City, Missouri; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and many good friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one daughter: Trena Joyce Holland; also, all six of her siblings: Georgie Pruitt, Phines Pruitt, John Jay Pruitt, Jackie Pruitt, Vance Pruitt, and Greta Hall, as well as one daughter-in-law, Jennifer Duggins.
Joyce was a very dedicated Christian who regularly attended First General Baptist in North Little Rock. She faithfully served in various ways there as a Sunday School teacher and sang in a church quartet whenever she could. She was an avid gardener and loved to show off her vegetable garden and flowers she had planted in her front yard. In her later years, she learned to play the piano and took art classes at the Senior Citizen's Center. She also enjoyed volunteering at Baptist Hospital in North Little Rock for a number of years.
A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, February 8 at 11:00 a.m. at Wayland Arbor Cemetery with Johnny Duggins officiating under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
Pallbearers: Jason Townsend, Jonathan Duggins, Johnny Duggins and Ryan Wilkerson.
