Janie Merle Langston Teague

Of Melbourne, Arkansas

Janie Merle Langston Teague, daughter of the late Otho E. Langston and Lena P. Everett Langston, was born November 10, 1937 in Bandmill, Arkansas. She departed this life March 24, 2024 at her home in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 86 years, 4 months and 14 days.  She was united in marriage to Wilson Enoch Teague September 24, 1958 in Yakima, Washington and together they raised two daughters.  Janie spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and friend. During her working years, she was employed by Modern Plastics in Independence, Missouri and Millbank Manufacturing in Kansas City, Missouri and White River Shirt Company in Melbourne.  She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Belview Baptist Church.

Janie is survived by two daughters:  Marsha Moore and husband Stewart and Cindy Ogilvie and husband Mike all of Melbourne; one brother:  H. P. Langston and wife Diane of Melbourne; one sister:  Dorothy Richardson of Independence, Missouri; two grandchildren:  Payton Moore of Mountain Home and Marissa Moore of Melbourne; her best friend:  Bernice Sherrill of Oxford; and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister:  Eva Martin; one brother:  Phil Langston; two nieces:  Tammy Johnson, Shirley Richardson and two nephews:  Kevin Martin and Larry Langston.

Graveside funeral service will be Wednesday, March 27 at 2:00 p.m. at Melbourne Cemetery with Doyne Robertson and Tim Porter officiating under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.

Pallbearers:  Mike Ogilvie, Stewart Moore, Tony Watson, Eric Teague, Randy Smith, Rhom Smith.
