Janice Ann Dillard Blankenship

of Bandmill, Arkansas

Janice Ann Dillard Blankenship, daughter of the late Osby Dillard and Frances Dorey Dillard, was born January 13, 1945 in Rogers, Arkansas. She departed this life July 3, 2018 in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 73 years, 5 months and 20 days. Janice was raised in the Calico Rock area where she attended and graduated from high school. She was united in marriage to Howard Blankenship June 15, 1963 in Bandmill, Arkansas and together they raised one son. Janice spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, homemaker and friend. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed gardening and canning. Most of her working years were spent at Baxter Lab in Mountain Home. She had a twenty-five year perfect attendance record and retired after thirty-two years of employment. Janice was of the Baptist faith and a member of Oxford Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years: Howard Blankenship of the home; one son and daughter-in-law: Danny and Sheila Blankenship of Bandmill; one brother: Lewis Wayne Dillard of Imboden; two grandsons: Isaac Blankenship and Eli Blankenship both of Bandmill and a host of other relatives and many good friends. Janice was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Danny Joe Dillard and Ronald Gene Dillard and one sister: Linda Sue Campbell.

Visitation will be Friday, July 6 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Funeral service will be Saturday, July 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Oxford Baptist Church. Burial will be at Oxford Cemetery.
