Kathryn Janett Jones Haney

Of Violet Hill, Arkansas

Kathryn Janett Jones Haney, daughter of the late Steven Dolton Jones and Zelma Blevins Jones Campbell, was born March 17, 1940 in Violet Hill Arkansas.  She departed this life October 14, 2022 at her home in Violet Hill, Arkansas at the age of 82 years, 6 months and 27 days. Janett was the Valedictorian of the 1958 graduating class of Violet Hill High School.  She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Kenneth Eugene Haney and together they raised two sons. Janett spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and friend.   Most of her working years were spent as an Orchardist in Washington State. In 2000, she went to work for the Izard County Consolidated School District in the cafeteria, retiring after twenty-one years of employment.  She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Wises Chapel Missionary Baptist Church

Janett is survived by two sons:  Mike Haney and wife Robin of Violet Hill and Tony Haney of Violet Hill; two grandsons:  Steven Haney and wife Danielle of Lubbock, Texas and Kenny Haney of Little Rock; two great grandchildren:  Tobias and Declan Haney and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister:  Janice Rodman and one brother-in-law.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 18 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.  Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 19 at 10:00 a.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.  Burial will be at Violet Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Legacy Hospice.

Pallbearers:  Wayne Neal, Jerry Arnold, Ross Coddington, Jason Rychtarik, Doyle Meyer and David Wallis.
