Janet Kay Collie Lee, daughter of the late H.J. "Snooker" Collie and Inez Ruminer Collie, was born July 8, 1942 in Batesville, Arkansas.  She departed this life January 27, 2022 in Batesville, Arkansas at the age of 79 years, 6 months and 19 days.  She was a 1960 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School and went on to graduate from Draughns Business School in Little Rock. Janet was united in marriage to Wayne Lee December 25, 1967 and together they raised two sons.  Janet spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and friend.  Most of her working years were spent working as a secretary at Byram Attendance Center in Byram, Mississippi and STARC, which provides services, training, advocacy, resources, and community connections for individuals with disabilities in Slidell, Louisiana.  She was a member of the Guion Church of Christ. She never met a stranger and usually knew someone in your family.

Janet is survived by two sons:  Eric Lee and wife Melissa of Bryant and Jack Lee and wife Michelle of Raymond, Mississippi; three granddaughters:  Ashlyn Lee, Kadie Lee and April Lee, who lovingly referred to Janet as "Honey" and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother:  Mike Collie.

Graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, February 5 at 1:00 p.m. at Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville with Gerald Coleman officiating.
