James Robert Gilliland, son of the late Joseph Harold Gilliland and Ruby Marie Heimerman Gilliland, was born August 17, 1945 in Whittier, California.  He departed this life May 30, 2022 at his home in Dolph, Arkansas at the age of 76 years, 9 months and 13 days.  He was united in marriage to Gail Rush February 2, 2002 and together they made their home in Dolph.  James spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, provider and friend.  Most of his working years were spent operating a drywall installation company in Florida.  He was a member of the Brockwell Church of God.

He is survived by his wife of twenty years:  Gail Gilliland of Dolph and one nephew:  Joe Bradford of Calico Rock and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers:  Jack Gilliland and Danny Gilliland and one sister:  Jolene Bradford.

Graveside funeral service will be Thursday, June 2 at 10:00 a.m. at Jones Cemetery with Chris Coleman officiating under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
