Howard Pruitt, Jr.

Of Franklin, Arkansas

Howard Pruitt, Jr., son of the late Howard Pruitt, Sr. and Margaret Pearsall Pruitt, was born September 23, 1948 in Decatur, Illinois.  He departed this life April 2, 2021 at his home in Franklin, Arkansas at the age of 72 years, 6 months and 10 days.  He was united in marriage to Priscilla Joanne Sauder December 27, 1969 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and together they raised two sons.  Howard was drafted into the United States Army toward the end of the Vietnam War.  After attending college, Howard taught high school science. He went on to earn his Master's Degree in Education and became a high school principal.  Howard was also licensed in HVAC and a master electrician.  He was a member of Franklin Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years:  Priscilla Pruitt of the home; two sons:  Phillip Pruitt and wife Rachella of Fayetteville and Jeff Pruitt of Horseshoe Bend; two sisters:  Jane Newton of Calico Rock and Nancy Sinclair and husband Robert of Bakersfield, Missouri; three grandchildren:  Clayton Pruitt, Megan Pruitt and Brayden Pruitt and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
