Homer "Bill" Howard Sanders
Of Dolph, Arkansas
Homer "Bill" Howard Sanders, son of the late Homer "Pat" Sanders and Pauline Ellen Stowers Sanders, was born April 21, 1946 in Dolph, Arkansas. He departed this life June 8, 2022 at his home in Dolph, Arkansas at the age of 76 years, 1 month and 18 days. In 1964 he was united in marriage to Joyce Zimmer and together they raised a daughter and a son. Bill spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. During his working years, he was employed by the White River Shirt Company, the Glove Factory and Baxter Lab. His most rewarding work was farming, raising cows and hogs. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Dolph Baptist Church.
Bill is survived by his wife of 58 years: Joyce Sanders of the home; one son: Roger and wife Terri of Greeley, Colorado; one daughter: Barbara Sanders of Viola; one brother: Orville and wife Layuna Sanders of Dolph; one sister: Helen and husband Ralph Rand of Dolph; three grandchildren: Axl Shaw Sanders, Michael Meaders and wife Kelly and Brittany Lowe and husband Kendall; five great grandchildren: Jack Lowe, Cooper Lowe, Christian Meaders, Caleb Meaders and Aiden Meaders and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
Visitation and funeral service will be Monday, June 13 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Beth Kratochvil officiating. Burial will be at Dolph Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Johnny Webb, Eric Hicks, Blake Dockins, Darrell Zimmer, David Gene Shelly and Chester Pool.
Honorary Pallbearers: Daniel Stephen, Kevin Cox, Terry Branscum, Jim Freeman, Rick Sanders, Tony Griggs and Matthew Zimmer.
