Herbert C. Hisaw

of Melbourne, Arkansas

Herbert C. Hisaw, son of the late Ira Lee and Hattie Ervin Hisaw, was born July 31, 1941 in Hazlehurst, Mississippi. He departed this life February 6, 2019 at his home in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 77 years, 6 months and 6 days. He served in the United States Army just before the Vietnam War. Herb was united in marriage to Euna Nell Smith June 27, 1964 and together they raised two children. Herb spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, provider and friend. During his working years, he was an electrical contractor and the owner and operator of Statewide Electric Company in Mississippi. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Melbourne First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years: Euna Nell Hisaw of the home; one son: Chuck Hisaw of Floral; one daughter and son-in-law: Tracy and Ben Cooper of Glen Allen, Mississippi; three brothers: Neal Hisaw (Brenda) of Mississippi, Larry Hisaw (Sharon) of Louisiana, Thomas Hisaw (Mattie) of West Virginia; two sisters: Ethel Allred of Georgia, Loraine Wallace (Gordon) of Mississippi; six grandchildred: Chasity Cooper, Ashlyn Cooper, Alex Parker (Lance), Cody Hisaw, Elana Hisaw, Madelynn Hisaw; one great granddaughter: Delta Grace Parker; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Ira Lee Hisaw, Jr and Perry Hisaw; two sisters: Minnie Hoover and Myrtle Vanleuvan.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 9 from 1-3 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. There will be at memorial service in Mississippi at a later date.
