Helen Melton Martin

of Jordan, Arkansas

Helen Melton Martin, daughter of the late Jessie Melton and Grady Dockins Melton, was born February 29, 1932 in Forty Four, Arkansas. She departed this life April 9, 2018 at her home in Jordan, Arkansas. She was united in marriage to Cledice Martin February 5, 1951 in Salem, Arkansas and to this union three sons were born. She worked at White River Shirt Factory, retiring after twenty-five years of employment. Helen was of the Baptist faith and a member of Jordan Baptist Church.

Helen is survived by three sons and three daughters-in-law: Dale and Connie Martin of Jordan, Leon and Kathy Martin of Pineville and Steven and Debbie Martin of Kissimmee, Florida; one sister: Golda Cockrum of Yakima, Washington; seven grandchildren: Colby Martin of Sidney, Brent Martin (Brittney) of Jonesboro, Richard Martin (Leanna) of Dolph, Kristie Thompson (Patrick) of Calico Rock, Brittney Wolf (Kevin) of Kentucky, Darren Martin of Florida, Steven Heenan of Missouri; eight great grandchildren: Zachary Martin, Ashli Martin, Caleb Martin, Clayton Thompson, Will Martin, Jamey Martin, Allie Wolf and Andrew Wolf; two great great grandchildren: Arabella and Arbre Martin; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Cledice Martin; one brother: Loren Melton; three sisters: Faye Rodman, Ella Rhea Everett and Arzella Vaughn.

Visitation will be Friday, April 13 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Graveside funeral service will be Saturday, April 14 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Cushman, Arkansas with Gale Wooten officiating.
