Helen Herron Hunt

Of Melbourne, Arkansas

Helen Herron Hunt, daughter of the late Shelby Herron and Margie Ella Wells Herron, was born October 4, 1936 in Myron, Arkansas. She departed this life October 18, 2020 at her home in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 84 years and 14 days. She was united in marriage to Glen Hunt January 2, 1953 in Melbourne, Arkansas and together they raised two children. Helen spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, homemaker and loyal friend. Most of her working years were spent as Administrator of Pioneer Nursing Home, retiring after 25 years of employment. She also owned and operated a children's store and thread shop. Helen had a lifelong love for sheltie dogs. She and Glen raised six AKC Champions and sold many pups. She was an active member of Melbourne First Baptist Church.

Helen is survived by her husband of 67 years: Glen Hunt of the home; one son and daughter-in-law: Gary and Socie Hunt of Melbourne; one daughter and son-in-law: Teresa and David Sharp of Sage; one brother: Joe Herron and wife Kathy of Wenatchee, Washington; four grandchildren: Shawn Hunt (Mandy) of Melbourne, Amber Mayfield (Billy) of Cabot, Katy Blevins (Kermit) of Sage and Andrew Sharp of Scottsdale, Arizona; eleven great grandchildren: Laiken May (Zack) of Bebee, Carsen Hunt of Nixa, Missouri, Cassie Brown of Cabot, Brinkley Hunt of Nixa, Missouri, Darcie Turnbyfield of Cabot, Madelyn Mayfield of Cabot, Katie Miller, Samuel Miller Madelyn Miller of Melbourne; Audra Blevins of Sage, Dani Drew Sharp of Batesville;

three great great grandchildren: Savy May, Chance Brown and Ben Brown; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Ralph Herron, Wilbur Herron and Johnny Herron; one sister: Joyce Billingsley and one infant son.

Graveside funeral service will be Monday, October 19 at 11:00 a.m. at Melbourne Cemetery with Rick Burke officiating. Arrangements by Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
