Helen Margaret Dorey Dillard

Of Calico Rock, Arkansas

Helen Margaret Dorey Dillard, daughter of the late Arthur Dorey and Hazel Tranumn Dorey, was born May 15, 1925 in Poteau, Oklahoma.  She departed this life February 1, 2024 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 98 years, 8 months and 17 days.  She was united in marriage to Thurl James Dillard January 21, 1941 in Rodney, Arkansas and together they raised eight children. Helen spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, homemaker and friend.  She was of the Pentecostal faith.

Helen is survived by four sons:  James William Dillard of Wisconsin, Steven Dillard of Imboden, Roger Dillard and wife Sandra and John Dillard all of Independence, Missouri; two daughters:  Alice Hall and Sharon Nordstrom both of Calico Rock; one brother:  Paul Dorey and wife Linda of Rogers; two sisters:  Maxine Seigal of Wichita, Kansas and Geraldine Nickel of Joplin, Missouri; 19 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many good friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons:  Ronnie Dillard and Terry Dillard; one grandson:  Stacey Beavers and one great grandson:  Chance Beavers.

Visitation and funeral service will be Tuesday, February 6 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.  Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Tommy Dorey officiating.  Burial will follow at Spring Creek Cemetery.
