Harold Dean Tunnicliff

Of Optimus, Arkansas

Harold Dean Tunnicliff, son of the late Benjamin Tunnicliff and Elizabeth Ratcliff Tunnicliff, was born Apri 4, 1940 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.  He departed this life December 25, 2025 at his home in Optimus, Arkansas at the age of 85.  He was united in marriage to Shirley Vannatter May 11, 1960 in Optimus, Arkansas and together they raised two children.  Harold spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, uncle, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. Most of his working years were spent as a carpenter working in and around Calico Rock.

Harold is survived by his wife of 65 years:  Shirley Tunnicliff of the home; one daughter:  Regina Lynn and husband Philip of Jordan; one brother:  Jerold Tunnicliff of Virginia; one sister:  Mildred Pelfery of Wadsworth, Ohio; four grandchildren:  Andy Ledford, Levi Booth, Shane Booth, Deandra Kelin; great grandchildren:  Alexandra Emery, Cadence Ledford, Carmen Booth, Ravenell Booth, Cheyanne Booth, Clara Bell Booth, Audra Snow, Aden Ledford, Leon Kelin, Henry Kelin, Emma and a host of other relative and many good friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one son:  Jimmy Tunnicliff, two brothers:  Ray Tunnicliff and Marvin Tunnicliff.

Graveside funeral service will be Tuesday, December 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Optimus Cemetery.
