Harold Wayne Fountain, son of the late Elford Woodrow "Tip" Fountain and Oral Jones Fountain, was born June 21, 1939 in Forty Four, Arkansas. He departed this life January 8, 2020 in Salem, Arkansas at the age of 80 years, 6 months and 18 days. He was united in marriage to Jo Ann Dockins May 22, 1959 and together that raised one son. Wayne worked as a farmer, logger and bus driver for Viola School District. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Wild Cherry Methodist Church.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 60 years: Jo Ann Fountain of the home; one brother: E.W. Fountain of Cameron, Missouri; three sisters: Nell Harris of Kansas, Shirley Fountain of Conway, Arkansas and Kay Edmonston of Pineville, Arkansas; four grandchildren: Brandi Sherrill (Shannon) of Wild Cherry, Jamie Manes (Bryan) of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Shara Klem (Michael) of Viola, Arkansas and Alyssa Fountain (Heath Gaines) of Viola, Arkansas; nine great grandchildren: Madison Kaye Manes, Brett William Manes, Riley Jo Marie Conner, Dylan Wayne Conner, Alecia Rene Klem, Sophia Claire Klem, Brayden David Klem and Kealan Dean Gaines; three step great grandchildren:  Logan Sherrill, Skilar Sherrill and Trenity Sherrill;  one great great grandson: Kayson David Anthony Chapa and a host of other relatives and many good friends. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; one son: David Wayne Fountain and one great grandson: John Carter Morris.

Visitation and funeral service will be Sunday, January 12 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Funeral service begins at 2:00 p.m. with Marty Sanders officiating. Burial will be at Fountain-Stockard Cemetery in Wild Cherry
