Of Mount Pleasant, Arkansas
Hank Powers, son of Al Powers and Georgia Davis Powers, was born December 24, 1966 in Oneida, Tennessee. He departed this life July 12, 2020 at his home in Mount Pleasant, Arkansas at the age of 53 years, 6 months and 18 days. He was united in marriage to Samantha Smith on November 21, 2004 and together they raised one son. Hank spent his life as a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, provider and friend. Most of his working years were spent working in the oil and gas industry, which allowed him to travel to forty nine of the fifty states, Canada, and Mexico. He also enjoyed a time of working the real estate business, was an avid trader of guns, knives, and ammo, and had a wealth of knowledge about all his interests. He often quoted, "I don't fear Death because I have lived more than most men ever do and I know God has a place for me. It may be the back forty, but He knows I'm coming." He loved reading his Bible, was on his fifth time reading front to back, and could explain the meaning of any passage of Scripture, if asked.
He was of the Baptist faith and a member of First Baptist Church in Coles Point, Mississippi. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Oklahoma.
Hank is survived by his wife of 16 years:

Al and Georgia Powers of Calico Rock; five grandchildren:

No memorial service is planned at this time.
