Glenda Eyvonne Garner Franklin

Of Melbourne, Arkansas

Glenda Eyvonne Garner Franklin, daughter of the late Marion Garner and Maybelle Pearl Poindexter Garner, was born June 17, 1941 in Enid, Oklahoma.  She departed this life at her home in Melbourne, Arkansas April 20, 2021 at the age of 79 years, 10 months and 3 days.  Glenda spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend.  Most of her working years were spent as a caregiver for her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters:  Dawn Lewallen of Melbourne and Kristie Teel of Washington; three sons:  Ronald Sleeper, Norman Sleeper of Washington and Freddie Sleeper of Arkansas; one brother:  Charles Garner, Sr. of California; seventeen grandchildren:  T. J. Lewallen, Jimmy Lewallen, T. J. Sleeper, Dusty Sleeper, Austin Sleeper, Michaela Sleeper, Christopher Sleeper, Amber Sleeper,  Ashley Sleeper, Jared Sleeper, Shawna Cooley, Alisha Cooley, Jason Cain, Tara LaRoque, Louie LaRoque, Dean LaRoque, Kyle LaRoque; twenty-four great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother:  James Garner and two sisters:  Patricia Norris, Letha Raney.

Memorial service will be Thursday, April 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
