Glen Melville Blundell

Of Calico Rock, Arkansas

Glen Melville Blundell, son of the late Melville Almer Blundell and Elsie Marie Matson Blundell, was born June 3, 1940 in Duncan British Columbia, Canada. He departed this life April 12 2025 at his home in Calico Rock, Arkansas at the age of 84.  He was united in marriage to Paula Luraine Coffey September 24, 1966 in Stockton, California and together they raised two daughters. He began his working years at Stockton Terminal and Eastern Railroad and went on to retire from Delta Rubber Company.  In addition to working full time, Glen served his church as a part time minister, youth pastor or music director.

Glen is survived by his wife of 58 years:  Paula Blundell of the home; two daughters:  Julie Ann Sanders and husband Gabriel, Stacey Marlene Waldroup and husband Tyler all of Calico Rock; one brother:  Allan Blundell (Sharon) of Hilda , Alberta Canada; two sisters:  Shirley Pedersen (Arnt) of Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada, Erma Stothard of Duncan, British Columbia, Canada; grandchildren:  Joseph Scott McIlvain, Katie Nicole Vasconcellos, Erin Lindsey McIlvain, Jacob Andrew McIlvain, Kelli Michelle Thygesen, Jared Michael Waldroup, Olivia Grace Sanders, Anna Rose Sanders; great grandchildren:  Noah, Gianna, Emma, David, Teagan, Matthew, Kyndal, Brynleigh and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; five siblings:  Ronnie, Donnie Beatrice, Ruby, Joyce; one grandson:  Luke Sanders; one great granddaughter:  Dani Marlene King; one great grandson:  Peter Jacob Vasconcellos.

Memorial service will be Monday, April 28 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Calico Rock First Baptist Church.
