Georgia Shaver Lawrence

Of Melbourne, Arkansas

Georgia Shaver Lawrence, daughter of the late Roy Lee Shaver and Maggie Ethel Hall Shaver, was born June 28 in Gid, Arkansas. She departed this life March 1, 2020 in Melbourne, Arkansas. She was united in marriage to Jimmie Jay Lawrence October 9, 1953 and together they raised four children. Georgia spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. Georgia was employed by Pioneer Nursing Home in the laundry, retiring after 30 years of employment. She was of the Methodist faith.

Georgia is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law: Kitty and Arlen Marsyla and Penny and Russ Price all of Melbourne; five grandchildren: Leann George of Mountain Home, Misty Brown (Michael) of Melbourne, Sadie Jo Jenkins (Jesse) of Cabot, Maggie Lawrence (Dustin Heiskill) of Melbourne and Alec Price of Melbourne; eight great grandchildren:   Bradley and LillieKay George, Carter and Reed Brown, Khloei, Maddox, Tucker Heiskill and Nora Jenkins; one brother-in-law: Loye Lawrence of Melbourne; one nephew: Marty Fulbright (Joanna) of Melbourne; one niece: Shelly Dale (Gary) of Mount Pleasant and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons: Rocky Lawrence and Dennis Lawrence and one sister: Shirley Fulbright.

Visitation and funeral service will be Tuesday, March 3 at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Visitation will begin at 12 noon. Funeral service begins at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Lawrence Cemetery.
