George Edward Yarrington, son of the late Max D. and Ruby Cochran Yarrington was born February 17, 1943 in Keokuk, Iowa. He departed this life on December 14, 2021 in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 78 years, 10 months and 27 days. He spent his life as a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. During his working years, George was employed by several fabricating factories in the Davenport, Iowa and Rock Island, Illionis area.

He is survived by his daughter, Anita Yarrington of Calico Rock; one grandson: Donta Linzie of Batesville; one great-grandson; Tyrone Linzie of Batesville; one sister: Doris Brasmer of Milan, Illionis and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister: Barbara McGurie and two brothers: Allen Yarrington and Richard Yarrington.

Visitation will be Monday, December 20, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne with graveside service following at 3:00 p.m. at Combs Cemetery in Melbourne, Arkansas.  Pallbearers: T.J. Brasmer, Donta Linzie, Al Morland, Marty Killian, James Simpson and Donnie Ciorciari.
